FRANKFORT -- Attorney General Jack Conway and his wife, Elizabeth, had a baby girl on Tuesday.
Conway used Twitter to announce the birth of Evangeline "Eva" Conway at 3:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Eva Louise Conway weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces. "All are doing great," Conway wrote.
Eva Conway is Elizabeth and Jack Conway's first child. Conway, 40, is running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate, a position currently held by Republican Jim Bunning. Conway's main rival for the Democratic nod is Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo. Mongiardo and his wife, Allison Patrick Mongiardo, are also expecting their first child in December.
On Wednesday, Conway wrote on Twitter that he was enjoying his new role as Dad: "Taking lots of pictures and video."
