A 26-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection with a home invasion on Gatehouse Place.
Thomas Glenn Hamilton II of Lexington has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree robbery.
On July 14, police were called to 729 Gatehouse Place, where a woman said she answered a knock at the door and was met by a man who showed a badge and said he was with the Lexington police, according to a criminal complaint filed in Fayette District Court. The man and two others whose faces were covered with bandanas then forced their way into the home, police say. One of them had a gun.
The intruders tied the residents' hands with zip ties and took money, cell phones, medications, two pairs of gym shoes and a "green consulate card," the complaint states. The victim later picked Hamilton out of a photo lineup.
The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are likely, police said.
Although two similar robberies have occurred in recent weeks, police said they do not think the crimes are related.
