Police arrested a Frankfort man after he allegedly pointed a handgun at pedestrians and shouted obscenities at officers.
Stephen Y. Harris, 52, was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance second offense and disorderly conduct, according to a news release from the police department.
Frankfort police received a call Friday morning about a suspect who was pointing a handgun at people in the 300 block of East Second Street. Police say Harris stood on his front porch and began to curse at the responding officers and others when officers began to interview witnesses.
Police say Harris then left his house out of the back door and walked toward South Frankfort Park where a large group of children were boarding buses. Officers arrested Harris before he reached the park.
Police later found three handguns, a shotgun and ammunition in Harris' home, according to the release.
