The intersection of High and South Limestone streets will be closed beginning at 9 a.m. Aug. 27, as work on South Limestone continues.
The intersection is expected to remain closed for about three weeks while storm and sanitary sewers in the middle of High Street are replaced and a conduit for underground utilities is installed.
While the intersection is being worked on, High Street will be converted into a two-way street between Martin Luther King and Limestone, and between Limestone and Upper Street.
Businesses along South Limestone remain open. Although the street is closed to through traffic, there is pedestrian access. For more information on the project, visit www.southlimestoneprogress.com.
