Two women died Tuesday after a crash in Perry County that involved a state police detective.
The crash occurred in the Glomawr community.
Lorene Dollarhide, 59, of Whitesburg was driving a 2001 Buick LeSabre north on Ky. 15 toward Hazard when she lost control and went into the southbound lane, state police said.
The LeSabre collided head-on with a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Billie Combs, 52, of Happy.
State police Det. Tim Engle was also southbound in a 2007 Ford Explorer and was hit by Dollarhide's car.
Dollarhide and Combs were pronounced dead at the scene.
Engle was treated for minor injuries at Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center and released.
