Another Kentucky family has been given a home, through the generosity of local builders and their neighbors.
ABC-TV's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" will feature the Mattingly family of Owensboro on its regularly scheduled program at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CDT) Sunday, Nov. 1.
For those who wish to share the evening with the Mattingly family, Thompson Homes is hosting a viewing party at Owensboro's Riverpark Center. The doors will open at 5 p.m. An hour-long behind-the-scenes special will be shown at 5:30 p.m. by Channel 25, the local ABC affiliate. Admission is free and open to the public.
In March 2006, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" came to Harrison County and, with the more than considerable help of neighbors and friends of Brian and Michelle Hassall, built a 3,000-square foot home for the couple and their two children. In May 2009, the Hassalls put the home up for sale, citing their desire to be "debt-free." The house is still on the market, listed for $329,999.
