Power has been restored to 280 Kentucky Utilities customers who were left in the dark overnight after a utility pole's cross arm broke near Winchester Road and Strader Drive.
The broken cross arm caused the outage about 9 p.m. Wednesday, affecting 4,915 KU customers in Fayette and Clark counties, KU spokesman Cliff Feltham said. By 11 p.m., power had been restored to all but 280 customers.
The remaining customers, who lived near the broken cross arm, received power about 5 a.m. Thursday, Feltham said.
It's remained unclear what caused the cross arm to break, he said.
