A Fayette County Public Schools bus with about 40 students on board was struck by a car in Lexington early Wednesday morning.
According to the school district officials, the bus was taking students to Bryan Station High School when it was rear-ended by a car at Georgetown and Sandersville roads.
The car hit the back of the bus after it was struck from behind by another vehicle, officials said.
The crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m.
No students were injured, school district officials said, and a second bus was sent to take the students on to school.
Two motorists suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
