A Lexington man arrested for attempting to rob a CVS Pharmacy has been charged with two other crimes, including a Dec. 28 bank robbery in Lexington.
According to police, James E. Collins, 45, entered CVS Pharmacy at 318 Southland Drive in Lexington Jan. 7 and placed a note on the counter demanding narcotics. He was tackled by CVS employees and restrained until police arrived, police said.
Since his arrest, Collins has been charged with the robbery of National City Bank in the Kroger store at 1650 Bryan Station Road on Dec. 28, as well as a Dec. 20 robbery of a local Walgreens.
The robber's demands were made via note in each robbery.
