A fire damaged a home at 922 Delaware Avenue in Lexington on Thursday evening.
The fire started on the front wall and made its way up to the attic, where it caused the most damage, Battalion Chief Harold Hoskins said. The fire was energized by wires in the attic and could not be put out until the electricity was turned off, he said.
No one was in the home.
The fire was called in by neighbors at 6:35 p.m., and took about an hour to extinguish. An investigation is underway.
