Chuck Ellinger II, one of three at-large member of Lexington's Urban County Council, filed for re-election on Monday.
Ellinger is in his second four-year term as an at-large representative. He chairs the Services Committee and serves on the Budget & Finance and Planning committees.
"With continuing budget challenges, we must elect council members who are fiscally responsible," he said in a prepared statement. Ellinger said he would continue to focus on basic services such as public safety, sewers, streets and roads.
Ellinger, 45, is an attorney and former owner of Rogers Restaurant. He graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law and has continued to take classes for a master's degree in public administration from the UK Martin School.
