State police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man involved in a shooting in Paris earlier this month.
Nobody was killed or injured when Terry Lee Dumphord, 40, allegedly shot at another man on Feb. 1 in the Paris city limits, but state trooper John Hawkins said the attack was unprovoked.
"We believe the intent was there," Hawkins said.
Hawkins did not release the name of the intended target.
Dumphord has been indicted for attempted murder and felony possession of a firearm, Hawkins said. He is known by the nicknames "L.A." and "Bellafonte," and could be in the Lexington or Louisville areas. He is considered dangerous.
Police have asked that anyone with information about Dumphord call toll-free 1-800-222-5555.
