Lexington: A Georgetown man has died after a car crash Thursday.
Charles Garrett, 26, was pronounced dead by University of Kentucky hospital medical staff at 2:31 p.m. Friday, according to a news release by the Fayette County Coroner.
The accident occurred at Georgetown Road and Kearney Ridge Boulevard, when the car Garrett was in swerved to avoid a tractor-trailer, police said. The car crashed into a rock wall.
Another occupant was hospitalized with serious injuries, police said. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
