Two fugitives and the woman who police say helped them escape from a Frankfort minimum security prison Tuesday night were caught Friday morning, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.
Police arrested inmates James Johnson, 27, and William Johnson, 23, at a residence on Coal Branch Road in Lee County, according to the release. With them was James Johnson's wife, Cindy Smith, 40, who is accused of aiding their escape.
The inmates disappeared from the Frankfort Career Development Center on Tuesday.
James Johnson was serving a six-year sentence for third-degree burglary, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking. He would have been eligible for parole in June.
