Two people were taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with minor injuries after an accident involving a bus Saturday evening.
Police and witnesses say a van driven by a woman ran a red light in front of the LexTran bus at the corner of Upper and Vine streets. The driver of the van and a passenger on the bus suffered minor injuries.
Police did not identify either person.
"She had some cuts where the glass had shattered from the passenger side," said Lexington resident Kathryn Davis of the van's driver. Davis was walking her dog on Upper Street when the accident occurred.
