A job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 in which applications will be taken for a new manufacturer coming to Lancaster.
Mine Shields, Kentucky's only manufacturer of mine refuge chambers, will open a new facility in June. The company will bring 35 new positions offering a minimum of $16 an hour.
Applications will be taken at 322 Crab Orchard Street in Lancaster, the site of the new plant and the former location of the Christian Appalachian Project.
All applicants need to be registered with the Central Kentucky Career Center. Visit it online at www.ckycareers.com and choose EKOS Registration under the Resources tab or register the day of the event.
