A federal grand jury indicted a Grant County man and three men from Sidney, Ohio, Thursday on charges stemming from their alleged roles in the illegal transportation and distribution of plastic explosives in Boone County, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
Robert Bancroft, 21, of Williamstown, was charged with conspiracy to distribute explosives without a license from July 2009 to February 2010, according to a news release.
Bancroft's brother Daniel J. Bancroft, 43; Jeremy Wayne Browning, 21; and Matthew Rogers, 22, were also charged.
Robert and Daniel Bancroft were also charged with possessing stolen explosive materials and transporting and distributing units of C-4, a military explosive, without a license.
