Bike Lexington wraps up this weekend with several events celebrating bicycles.
A Bike Bash is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Cheapside Park. The event will feature bicycle-related films and a stunt show by professional mountain bike rider Mike Steidley.
The 32nd running of the Bluegrass Cycling Club's Horsey Hundred will be Saturday and Sunday at Georgetown College in Georgetown. More than 1,700 participants from across the country will tour Central Kentucky by bike on routes from 25 to 100 miles long.
About 2,000 cyclists will take to the streets Monday during races and fun rides that will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The bike rally, sponsored by Pedal Power Bike Shop, includes a bike safety rodeo for kids at 10 a.m. and a 10-mile family ride at 11 a.m. Registration begins at 10 at the Courthouse Plaza, at Main Street and Limestone.
Helmets will be distributed on a first-come basis at 9 a.m. All activities are free.
