Authorities will resume searching Sunday for a missing swimmer at Taylorsville Lake.
A 23-year-old Fort Knox soldier swimming at the lake went beneath the surface about 4:19 p.m. Saturday and did not resurface, said Spencer County Deputy Sheriff Gordon Miles. He declined to identify the man.
Dive teams from Spencer County fire and rescue and Louisville police sought the man unsuccessfully for four hours before suspending the search at dark, Miles said. He said the search would resume at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
The search was concentrated at the entrance to Jack's Creek in the main channel of the lake and south of Taylorsville Lake Dam. Miles said the water is about 42-feet deep.

The man was among a group of six people aboard a boat when he jumped off and swam 30 to 40 yards away. He began swimming back before disappearing.
