A rocket leaking nerve-gas vapor was placed into a leakproof container Wednesday, officials at Blue Grass Army Depot in Madison County said.
On Tuesday, toxic chemical crews found the M55 rocket leaking vapor within its shipping and firing tube.
In the so-called "overpack" process, the rocket, still in its shipping and firing tube, was placed in a large container designed to hold leaking rockets.
The rocket was then moved to another igloo which holds only overpacked munitions.
The leak posed no danger to Madison County residents, Army officials said. Both county and state emergency-management agencies were notified of the leak.
