A family had to go through decontamination procedures Monday night after they found hazardous materials associated with a meth lab in a tent on their property, Cynthiana police said.
Police would not identify the family of two adults and three juveniles, but they said the father found the ingredients before 6:30 p.m. Monday in a tent that had been moved earlier in the day to the property in the 400 block of West Pleasant Street.
Cynthiana firefighters decontaminated family members on the property, and the family later went to Harrison Memorial Hospital to be checked out, police said.
No one has been charged. Cynthiana police are handling the investigation.
