Matthew 10:34-37, "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law." - KJV
'variance' here is rendered as follows in other translations:
"set a man against" – ESV; NASV, NKJV
"turn a man against" – HCSB "part asunder" – Amplified Bible

How did Jesus accomplish this? Was it thru His miracles (healing, raising the dead etc.)? If not, then how?
It is a fact that people are divided in their convictions religiously. Does this division stem from a disagreement over the miracles that he performed?
If not, why are people segregated religiously? What ELSE did Jesus do other than His miracles???
See Matt. 21:23-27; what was it?
How was this "sword/variance" an act of love?
John 3:16-21 - why did some not believe on Jesus...because of the many miracles He performed? If not, then why???
John 17:14-21 - What did the Father give unto Jesus? What did Jesus give unto the apostles? Why was He hated...because of His miracles? If not, then why???
Why was the sending of this 'sword' necessary? What was it about Jesus that would cause division, even in the same family...His performing mighty signs and wonders (miracles)? If not, then what???
Do you know?
Jesus loved us in doing this?
How do we show our love to Him?
Again, by performing miracles? If not, then how???
