Kappa Alpha Walks for MDA
On Saturday, May 9 the Kappa Alpha Fraternity from Transylvania University walked from Frankfort to Lexington in support of MDA. Twenty-five walkers departed from the State Capitol after listening to encouragement from Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lieutenant Governor Daniel Mongiardo, a Transylvania and Kappa Alpha Alumni, to the Graviss McDonald’s restaurant in Versailles where they met twenty-five more walkers who continued the walk to Transylvania University in Lexington. While the walkers were in Versailles, they met McDonald’s Restaurant Manager Sharon Murphy and her son, Kentucky Ambassador for MDA Dylan Preston, and learned about Dylan’s Night for MDA to be held August 11 behind the United Bank Building. The walkers were also treated to lunch at Graviss McDonald’s of Versailles.
