I completely forgot about posting a blog today. I have fallen off the blogging bandwagon lately and I haven't been able to get back in the groove of things.
Last night I remembered I needed to write a blog, but was not inspired by anything in particular. Then I decided we must clean the child's bedroom. So away Hoss and I went.
Literally every book, movie and toy he had was on the floor of his bedroom. At least he hadn't pulled his clothing off the hangers or out of the drawers. I'm still not sure how one child can make such a mess. Too bad he doesn't have OCD.
We spent over an hour cleaning his bedroom. Maybe the child doesn't have OCD, but his Momma gets on a roll while cleaning and everything must be in it's specific place and I mean EVERYthing. See, I have this problem, I procrastinate until the last minute to do big tasks, but when I finally start the task I can't stop. And I must do everything exactly right. Quite honestly, this is an exhausting character trait. For everyone involved.
Then, after cleaning his room he needed to take a bath, where we got out the bathtub markers and drew all over the walls of the bath tub. Hoss wanted me to write "pie truck" and draw a pie truck. So, that's what I did. I think this has something to do with an episode of Sponge Bob he has seen. An episode I am not familiar with, but Hoss definitely is.
After bath time he went straight to bed. He obviously had been completely worn out with the cleaning of the bedroom. Or maybe it was the pie truck drawings.
But I was inspired. So I walked over to my bedroom where stacks of laundry needed folding and Easter items needed put away and clothing I'm trying to sell on Craiglist (CL) needed sorting. I spent the better part of an hour cleaning my own bedroom and then I took pictures of the clothing and items I am selling and posted those on CL.
At this point it was beyond my bedtime so I collapsed in my bed and forgot all about writing a blog. Until this morning, when I was straightening my hair (oh, I haven't showed you all a picture of the new hair, I will have to do that soon. That is, if I can get a picture that doesn't make my nose look massive. Apparently my nose is spreading wider in my old age. It's like Mt. Rushmore!).
And, this is what you get when I procrastinate. More than you could ever asked for, right?
