Empty Bowls Luncheon

The Providence School served up homemade soup in ceramic bowls created by art students on May 20 at the annual "Empty Bowls" Luncheon. Proceeds from the luncheon were donated to "For His Own," a Jessamine County charity that feeds needy families. "Empty Bowls" is an international project to fight hunter, that is personalized by artists and art organizations on a community level.

Children can learn about bicycle and water safety at Children's Safety Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 5 at the Saint Joseph-Jessamine RJ Corman Ambulatory Care Center. Activities include: face painting, free hot dogs and snow cones, inflatables, and bicycle giveaways.
