Asbury University celebrates the horse
In concurrence with the 2010 World Equestrian Games, Asbury University has created an opportunity for visual artists to celebrate the horse and the culture that surrounds it with The Horse: A Cultural Exhibit which runs September 20 through November 6. The exhibit will contain artwork that features all characteristics of the horse: the land, the games and the people who have known and loved horses. Interpretations may vary from cultural symbolism to physical attributes; from its storied history to its contribution to agricultural pursuits and uses in competition and transportation. Call for entries and prospectus can be found at www.asbury.edu/art.
