An argument between two Richmond men led to gunshots Monday, landing one man in jail and another in the hospital.
State police said in a news release that Vernon Stepp, 65, shot Paul Thomas Anglin, 23, about 8:30 p.m. at Stepp's home at 211 Canterbury Road.
Anglin was hit with a .32-caliber slug in his lower left side, the release said. He was taken to Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center in Richmond and later transferred to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, the release said.
Stepp was charged with first-degree assault and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
State Trooper Phillip Powell is investigating.
