A Manchester man was charged with murder after a head-on crash that killed a Pineville woman Sunday night in Clay County, Kentucky State Police said Monday.
Lanny Sizemore, 40, of Manchester, also charged with driving while under the influence of drugs, police said.
Ellen Fletcher, 35, was pronounced dead at 8:40 p.m. at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Fletcher, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, was thrown from her 1999 Saturn SL2, police said.
More news about police and courts Sizemore was northbound in a 2000 Ford Excursion on U.S. 421 about 8 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Fletcher's car.
Sizemore was taken to the Clay County jail.
