A Fleming County man who was burned in a suspicious Nov. 9 house fire has died at a Lexington hospital, authorities said.

Mickey Dale Shrout, 37, of Ewing was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon at University of Kentucky Hospital, according to the Fayette County coroner's office.

Shrout sustained third-degree burns on 40 percent of his body after a fire at his home on Tea Run Road, Kentucky State Police said. He initially was taken to Fleming County Hospital and later airlifted to UK.

State police said the fire appears suspicious and remains under investigation by the Morehead post.

Lane-Stuckey-Gray Funeral Home in Morehead is in charge of arrangements.
