Natural Bridge Clerk robbed, tied up

- kward1@herald-leader.com

The front desk clerk was left tied up for an hour after two men robbed the lodge at the Natural Bridge State Resort Park at gunpoint early Monday morning.

Two men entered the Powell County lodge with handguns at 3 a.m., restrained the clerk and took more than $6,000 in cash, state police said.

One of the men had a bandana over his face; the other wore a ski mask. Both had on dark hooded sweatshirts.

The clerk was uninjured and was found an hour later by guests who were checking out.
