    Detroit Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez, current American League Player of the Week, was the South Atlantic League batting champion and Most Valuable Player in 2010, when he played for the Lexington Legends.

  • Road trip, part I

    The Legends are wrapping up the first part of their road trip with a game Sunday evening at Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland.

    The Legends will wrap up their series against the Delmarva Shorebirds tonight, and then will head for Hagerstown, Maryland for a four-game series.

  • All-Star MVP award earns good seat for Taylor

    The Legends Dominique Taylor relaxed in the still-wrapped chair he received for winning the South Atlantic League All-Star game MVP award.

    The Legends' Dominique Taylor was named Most Valuable Player in the South Atlantic League All-Star game. He and All-Star teammate Frank Schwindel rejoin the Legends tonight as they open the second half of the South Atlantic League season.
