One of the best ways to check out a label's newest collection without leaving Lexington is by attending a trunk show.
Spring and fall are peak seasons for stores to introduce the season's styles and accessories. This week trunk shows around town will feature dresses, hats, swimwear and more.
■ Cotton Patch in the Lansdowne Shoppes on Tates Creek Road will show pieces from Jude Connally on Friday and Saturday. The label is known for its easy-to-wear, stylish dresses featuring fun, bright prints. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
■ At Carl Meyers, 111 Clay Avenue, styles by Kenth Andersson have been a hit for more than 10 years. Stop by the store Friday and Saturday to see spring lines for mother of the bride and special occasions including Derby.
Never miss a local story.
■ Bella Rose, 126 West Maxwell, will spotlight the spring Shoshanna collection from Thursday through March 17. The collection includes tops and dresses as well as swimwear. Shoppers get 10 percent off Shoshanna purchases during the trunk show.
Also at Bella Rose, meet designer Britni Knable of Hats by Headcandi and select details for your custom Oaks or Derby hat. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
