February is American Heart Month, and Friday is National Wear Red Day, when everyone is encouraged to wear red to raise awareness of heart disease in women.
This month, look for products that benefit the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" movement. At Macy's stores, a collection of three red dresses was designed by Kensie, Calvin Klein and XOXO in honor of American Heart Month.
The limited-edition pieces are $69 to $99 in stores or at Macys.com, and 10 percent of the purchase prices will be donated to the American Heart Association.
Also at Macy's, during the Wear Red Sale going on through Monday, customers wearing anything red — from lipstick to an entire outfit — will receive a 20 percent discount on most merchandise or a 15 percent discount on select jewelry and home items.
Forgot your red? Buy a Go Red for Women pin for $2 at the store and receive the same discounts. All proceeds from the pins go to the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women movement.
For more about American Heart Month or to shop at the American Heart Association's official store, go to Heart.org. All proceeds from this online store benefit the heart association.
