Lexington graphic artist Daniel Morgan is drawn to vintage style, nothing too showy.
When we met the 32-year-old Rockcastle County native on Wednesday at Arcadium on North Limestone he wore a button-up collared shirt with a stripe pattern.
"I don't like something that's overbearing," he said. "I just try to keep it simple and keep it cool."
Classic Lee jeans were a Christmas gift from his mother. That's not a regular thing, her buying him clothes. They used to clash over outfits. Like the time she made him wear a turtleneck as a kid. He still has an aversion to them.
His beard comes and goes, but he keeps it in shape with a homemade beard balm with essential oils including cedarwood. Morgan is also an actor, and facial hair is the perfect accessory for his upcoming role as Henry Clerval in Frankenstein at Woodford Theatre.
What he wore
Shirt: Button-up collared shirt. "It's subtle and kind of classic looking."

Woven bracelet: Bought on vacation in Savannah, Ga.
Favorite products: Styling paste for hair but no special brand. Morgan gets his hair cut at Fleet Street Hair Shoppe.
