The Kentucky Wineries Association's Holiday Wine Trail starts Friday and continues through Dec. 12. Participating wineries will offer wine samples, cheeses and chocolates. Special lunches at Holly Hill
Holly Hill Inn in Midway is celebrating the Christmas season with holiday luncheons.
Served Wednesday through Saturday, the luncheons feature a three-course menu, drinks and appetizers. The menu includes Stone Cross Farm ham, Irish Christmas cod, portobello pie, smoked chicken crepes, jam cake with caramel icing, peppermint cheesecake and warm sorghum gingerbread. The cost is $18. A sampling of winter beers
Wines on Vine, 400 Old Vine Street, will have a winter beer tasting from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A representative from Bryant Distributing will discuss the beers. The cost is $20. Call (859) 243-0017.
Restaurants aid AIDS group
On Wednesday, World AIDS Day, 22 Central Kentucky restaurants are donating a portion of their proceeds to AVOL, AIDS Volunteers Inc.
The restaurants are: a la lucie, Alfalfa Restaurant, Bellini's Italian Restaurant, Bourbon n' Toulouse, Buddy's Bar and Grill, Cuppa: A Tea Café, Le Deauville, The Dish, Doodles, Dudley's on Short, Good Foods Market and Café, Hanna's on Lime, Mad Mushroom Pizza, Metropol, Nick Ryan's, Portofino, Sal's Chophouse, both Saul Good locations, The 6 Friends Café, Stella's Kentucky Deli and Third Street Stuff.

Courtyard Deli expands deliveries
