Wholly Smokers Restaurant in Georgetown is in the spirit of giving this holiday season. The restaurant, 123 Opera Alley, will hold its second annual free beans and corn bread dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The deadline for ordering Christmas turkeys and hams is Saturday. ■ The chefs at Triangle Grille at the Hilton Lexington/Downtown have created a special menu that will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Main dishes will i nclude crab-stuffed shrimp, roasted rack of Kentucky lamb, pan-roasted duck breast, Alltech Angus New York strip steak, fried chicken and Kentucky hot Brown. ■ Cheapside Bar and Grill, 131 Cheapside, will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas. Dinner will be served from 6 to 10 p.m. During the Christmas weekend, owner Robin Campbell will randomly give away Secret Santa gift cards for purchases made in January and February. Countdown to New Year's Eve
If there's a special place where you would like to ring in 2011, you'll want to make reservations early. Here's a look at some options for celebrating New Year's Eve.
■ Holly Hill Inn: An eight-course dinner is $75, and reservations are available from 6 to 10 p.m. Included among the entree choices are carved filet mignon Rochambeau, galantine of Hickory Run Farms poussin, and eggplant soufflé.
