Lexington's first Jet's Pizza is open in the Harrod's Village shopping center. Jet's, a Michigan-based chain, is best known for its signature square, deep dish pizza. Hand-tossed round or thin crust pizzas also are available, along with salads, subs, chicken wings and bread sticks. Jet's "boats" are freshly baked pizza dough stuffed with mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce and toppings.

Oliva Bella Tasting Room, 400 Old Vine Street, sells handmade mozzarella on Wednesdays. The burrata (Italian for "butter") originated in the region of Puglia. It is a fresh mozzarella formed into a pouch and stuffed with mozzarella curds and cream. ■ Bluegrass Farmers Market has melons this week. The market, at 3450 Richmond Road in the parking lot of Pedal the Planet and Fast Signs, is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
