Entree choices are Carmel Valley quail stuffed with Swiss chard, goat cheese and foie gras; and sea bass with beurre rouge served with brown-butter gnocchi. Dinner for two is $250. ■ The Greentree Tearoom, 521 West Short Street, normally is closed Tuesdays, but it will be serving tea on Valentine's Day. Here's the menu for February: French onion soup, poppy-seed scone with cherry curd, Low Country shrimp and grits, corn salsa in phyllo cups, white pimento cheese and red radish ribbon tea sandwiches, strawberry cupcakes and chocolate pots de crème. ■ Cardinal Hill Hospital, 2050 Versailles Road, held its annual Wild Game Dinner & Sport Auction on Jan. 27. Chefs competed for awards. Seth Russell, chef at the Hilary J. Boone Center at the University of Kentucky, won the people's choice award for fried rabbit and waffles with hazelnut butter, brown-sugar bacon, lavender-infused maple syrup and quail egg. The chef's choice award went to Cardinal Hill chef Cornelious Cunningham for bison and mushroom stroganoff.
