Late summer in Wisconsin: cool breezes, quaint towns and football fever

In Green Bay, Wisc., in early August, it seems the only sporting event of any consequence is the Packers' training camp. There is life beyond the Packers, however, starting with the 47-acre Green Bay Botanical Gardens and extending to the many picturesque towns, whether along lake Michigan or inland.
