Clay Miller, driving, and his son Mark Miller departed in a 1932 Ford on the first leg of the around-the-world World Race 2011, as they drove north on US 27 in Nicholasville, Ky., Monday, April 11, 2011. The pair will drive the 1932 Ford built especially for the trip, and hope to arrive in San Francisco on April 26. The car will then be loaded onto a cargo ship destined for Beijing, China where Clay Miller and his grandson, Blake Garrison will resume the race in early June. The trip from Beijing to Paris is expected to take nearly seven weeks, with racers crossing the finish line at the Eiffel Tower on July 21. Charles Bertram | Staff
