UberEATS, a service that delivers food from restaurants, is coming to Lexington.
No date has been set for the launch yet, although it is expected soon. The company is surveying Uber users to see what kind of restaurants should be on the platform, which works on Apple and Android-based smartphones and tablets.
You can take the survey here.
Customers can order on their smart devices or at Ubereats.com. It typically costs about $5 for a delivery order and takes 30 minutes or less for an order. In busy areas, there is an extra fee, according to the company’s website.
Never miss a local story.
UberEATS uses a separate app “that has been built specifically to make requesting food delivery as seamless as possible,” according to the company. “We will partner with uberX partners to deliver food across the city at Uber speed.”
You also can sign up here to be a delivery driver with Uber.
UberEATS is available in cities around the United States and internationally.
