Kentucky Book Fair: Adell Kemper has been named manager of the annual literary event. Kemper, who began her duties May 1, succeeds Connie Crowe, who served as manager for 13 years.
Allstate Financial Services: Rick Davies has joined the company as a personal financial representative offering life insurance, annuities and mutual funds.
Kentucky State Fair Board: Steve Kelly of Owen County has been named executive director of expositions, effective Sept. 16. Kelly will oversee the National Farm Machinery Show, the Kentucky State Fair and the North American International Livestock Exposition.
Kentucky Bar Association: Mindy Barfield, a partner in the litigation department of Dinsmore & Shohl, has been elected to the board of governors of the KBA, the governing body of Kentucky's mandatory bar association. Barfield will serve as one of two governors for the 5th District, which covers Lexington.
