Lexington television stations plan to once again air a special about the switch to digital television.
DTV: Are You Ready? initially aired in December but will air again at 7:30 p.m. Monday and addresses questions about the switch from analog to digital, which is set for Feb. 17.
During the 30-minute special, the stations will run a two-minute test simulation of the actual switchover from analog to digital. That simulation will run both near the beginning and end of the program.
The program will be shown simultaneously on WDKY (Fox), WKYT (CBS), WLEX (NBC), WTVQ (ABC) and WUPX (Ion Media).
KET doesn't plan to preempt its programming that night to air the special, but will simulate the switchover for a few minutes starting at roughly 7:57 p.m.
The station has been airing numerous specials about the switch and will reair a recent call-in program about it on KET2 at 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
No live calls will be taken since it's a repeat, but Monday's program aired by the other stations will feature a phone bank provided by KET to allow viewers to call in with questions.
