The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce's chief in-house lobbyist is leaving the organization to start his own public affairs firm.
Mike Ridenour plans to open the firm on July 1, and Chamber President and CEO Dave Adkisson has said the state Chamber will be his first client.
Ridenour came to the state Chamber in 2005, though he had worked for it previously in the 1990s.
Adkisson has said he doesn't plan to conduct a search to replace Ridenour for now. He has placed Bryan Sunderland, the Chamber's director of public affairs, in charge of the division.
