KTA Inc. Consulting Engineers: Cory Sharrard has become a principal in the mechanical and electrical engineering consulting firm. Sharrard and Wayne Thomas, both Certified Commissioning Authorities, will lead KTA's new commissioning group.

Kentucky Trust Co.: Terri Edelen has joined the company as vice president, retirement plans. Edelen is a certified public accountant with more than 25 years of experience.

Grasch & Gudalis: Timothy E. Davis has become associated with the Lexington law firm. Davis is a graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law and has joined the firm in its practice of business and personal injury litigation, medical malpractice, employment litigation and corporate transactions.
Webb, Hoskins, Glover & Thompson: Daniel H. (Dan) Miller has joined the Lexington law firm's Alumni Drive office and will practice in real estate matters.
Organizations
Association for Continuing Higher Education: Charles Hickox, dean of Continuing Education and Outreach at Eastern Kentucky University, has been named vice president of the association for 2009-2010.
Horses and Humans Research Foundation: Local equine veterinary specialist Dr. James Smith has been appointed to the board of directors for HHRF. Smith is semi-retired from Hagyard-Davidson-McGee. Cleveland-based HHRF seeks to support research that will improve the quality of equine-assisted activities for people with disabilities.
Other
Quorum Health Resources: Cindy Wise has been named vice president of business development for the Tennessee-based company. She will oversee several states, including Kentucky. Wise previously served as director of sales for Humana.
