An annual inventors conference will be at the Central Library downtown on Tuesday night.
"Inventors Conference 09: A Climate of Opportunity" will detail how to take an idea to a marketable invention. The event, from 6 to 9 p.m., is free.
It also will be a chance to see some of the inventions were made in Kentucky, as well as to network with other inventors and entrepreneurs. A variety of presentations will be made by groups including the Central Kentucky Inventors Council and the Small Business Development Center.
The event is headlined by a speech by Louis J. Foreman, publisher of Inventors Digest and creator and executive producer of the PBS television show Everyday Edisons.
