Lexington cable provider Insight Communications announced Monday that its 2009 revenue of $981 million was up 13 percent over 2008.
The company, which operates in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio, said it had 775,700 customers at the end of 2009, up from 759,700 at the end of 2008.
Insight ended the year with 716,400 basic cable customers, up 1 percent from 2008. The number of digital cable customers was 509,400.
The company had 501,500 high-speed Internet customers at the end of 2009, up 9.4 percent from 458,500 at the end of 2008.

The number of telephone customers increased 14.1 percent from 2008 to 314,500 at the end of 2009.
The total average monthly revenue per basic cable customer was $118.41 during the fourth quarter, up from $108.26 in the fourth quarter of 2008.
