The state Public Service Commission has set dates to receive public comments on Kentucky Utilities' request for a rate increase. The PSC meetings in Central and Eastern Kentucky will be held at the following locations:
■ Harlan: 5 p.m. April 27, auditorium at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, 164 Ball Park Road.
■ Lexington: 5 p.m. May 6, auditorium at Cooper campus of Bluegrass Community and Technical College, 470 Cooper Drive.
Kentucky Utilities has proposed a rate increase that would see the average monthly bill for residential customers rise to $98.11, an increase of about 13.5 percent from the current average of about $86.41.
Written comments will be accepted at the meeting. Comments also may be mailed to the PSC at P.O. Box 615, Frankfort, Ky. 40602, faxed to (502) 564-9625, or e-mailed from the PSC Web site at http://psc.ky.gov.
