The U.S. Small Business Administration awards for Kentucky were announced Wednesday with Lexington businesses taking three of the four. The winners were:
■ Minority Small Business Champion of the Year: Sheila Anne Taluskie, God's Closet, Lexington
■ Home-Based Business Champion of the Year: Debra Locker Griffin, Locker Public Relations, Lexington.
■ Women in Business Champion of the Year: Barbara Jane Moores, BJM and Associates Inc., Lexington.

■ Small Business Person of the Year: Wade Lewis and Silas Boyle, MaximumASP, Louisville.
Also, eight businesses were inducted into the Kentucky Small Business Development Center's 2010 Pacesetter Business Recognition Program. The inductees were Big Ass Fans and Preston-Osborne of Lexington, KDV Inc. and Street Moda LLC of Louisville, Bobrowski Family Dentistry of Greensburg, Technology Services Group Inc. of Florence, Ashland Office Supply Inc. of Ashland, and Advanced Elevator Inc. of Alexandria.
The program honors businesses that introduce innovative products, increase sales, boost employment and serve their communities.
