Residents of Fayette County might be eligible for unemployment pay if they lost work or worked for businesses that were damaged due to the severe floods on May 1.
The new announcement brings the total to 62 counties. For a complete list, visit www.kyem.ky.gov/currentdisasters.
Farmers and self-employed people, who normally are not eligible for unemployment, also might qualify for this disaster unemployment assistance.
The deadline for applications, which can be filed at local Office of Employment and Training offices, is July 19.
